Basic press release on Stone+tec and Tile+tec 2024
The Stone+tec trade fair presents natural stone in all its facets from 19 to 22 June. As an international centre of excellence for natural stone and stone technology, it attracts trade visitors from all over Europe to Messe Nürnberg. In addition to natural stone and materials and a wide range of products for gravestones, the fair will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest technology in machinery, equipment and tools. A new addition is the Tile+tec fair, which focuses on designing with tiles. The Stone+tec Congress runs in parallel over three days (19 to 21 June) and rounds off the offer.
Nuremberg – Around 250 exhibitors are expected at Stone+tec at Messe Nürnberg; in terms of floor space, Stone+tec 2024 will be larger than the previous event. In four halls as well as the congress area, the events will offer materials, technology, tools and construction chemistry as well as information and offers relating to occupational safety and environmental protection. Other topics include monument preservation, gravestones and design as well as services. Knowledge transfer and networking with colleagues, partners, service providers and suppliers round off the fair experience. The fair is aimed at all stone processors from the construction, cemetery, monument and design sectors as well as property developers, planners and architects.
For the first time, Tile+tec will take place as part of Stone+tec. This new addition offers a range of products and services relating to design and tile processing and finishing, thus opening up a further dimension for visitors and exhibitors. An open stage will host specialist presentations on every aspect of tiles and natural stone.
Project manager Michael Löffler was in intensive dialogue with partners and exhibitors during the preparation phase in order to further develop Stone+tec in line with the needs of the industry: "As the most important industry meeting point in the German-speaking region, Stone+tec is firmly anchored in the calendar. The steady internationalisation of the trade fair is particularly pleasing: The international participations are larger than at the previous event and visitors can look forward to a comprehensive programme. The Stone+tec Congress and the new Tile+tec round off the programme."
German Natural Stone Award and BIV Young Talent Competition
The German Natural Stone Award is presented every two years by the German Natural Stone Association (DNV) in cooperation with the Association of German Architects (BDA) and will be awarded for the 21st time at Stone+tec 2024. All nominated projects will be exhibited at the DNV stand at Stone+tec. Young stonemasons will offer Stone+tec visitors another highlight: the Vocational Training Centre for Stonemasons and Sculptors and the Federal Association of German Stonemasons are organising their young talent competition at Stone+tec. The competition participants will be demonstrating their skills in the entrance area in front of the trade fair.
Stone+tec Nürnberg in combination with Tile+tec will take place on 19 and 22 June 2024 at the Messe Nürnberg.
