This versatile screw compressor is proof positive that powerful performance isn't a matter of size and operational weight. Lightweight and compact (operational weight 190 kg, 1080 x 800 x 790 (L x W x H with manoeuvring handle stowed), the Mobilair 13 can fit into virtually any space for transportation. Moreover, loading and unloading is made simple thanks to a counter-sunk crane eye and 4 convenient lifting-lugs (in the event that a crane isn’t available). At the heart of each unit lies a premium Kaeser rotary screw airend equipped with energy-saving “Sigma Profile” rotors. User’s can choose between either a petrol driven version powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke Honda engine or a three-phase electric motor model. The emission-free electric version offers added flexibility as it can be used both in the open, as well as in closed environments on construction sites and in workshops. With a free air delivery of 1.2 m³/min at 7 bar, the Mobilair 13 is more than capable of powering drills, saws, grinders, and many other tools. Furthermore, the compressor is protected by an innovative corrosion- and scratch-resistant sound enclosure made from rotation-sintered polyethylene which also guarantees exceptionally low sound levels. For blasting work, which is common place for restoration applications, a compressed air aftercooler with condensate separator is optionally available and can be connected in a support frame to provide a dependable supply of cool, condensate-free compressed air.
As you would expect from a responsible compressed air systems provider such as Kaeser, environmental compatibility was a key consideration when designing the Mobilair 13; this is illustrated in two different ways depending on the version. With the petrol engine model, accumulating condensate is vaporised with help from the hot engine exhaust, whilst in electrically powered models it is safely collected via an integrated container. This approach also ensures that natural stone terraces, for example, or valuable flooring are not soiled during restoration work.
