Methods are constantly changing in the trade crafts and in industry. That's why, in addition to nurturing our conventional range, FLEX engineers and designers focus on developing completely new electric power tools and system solutions.
The success of FLEX is based on innovation. That was the case in 1922, when FLEX developed hand-controlled tools powered by stationary electric motors through flexible shafts. It did not change in 1954, when FLEX launched the first high-speed angle grinder, the DL 9 - inventing “FLEXing” in the process.
To make FLEX angle grinders even more reliable, effective, and user-friendly, FLEX continued to develop them. In 1997 FLEX was the first electric power tool manufacturer to introduce the long-neck sander for ceilings and walls – the FLEX-Giraffe® - and the latest Giraffe generation is now available. The WST 700 VV Vario-Giraffe®, with its telescoping function and interchangeable sanding head, and featuring perfect handling, sets new standards.
In continuous dialogue with craftspeople and users, backed by many years of experience in the development and manufacture of professional electric power tools, FLEX keeps coming up with new, innovative solutions. FLEX tools and dedicated accessories continually create solutions for better and more economical working.
